West Sussex used to be RICH PICKINGS for old Landies, I hoovered up several in my late teens and early 20s.

Some that eluded us were sat at Halfway Bridge, could never agree a price so left it. Went back a few years later and still no deal - I think this was summer 2008

Finally got round to spending time on this.

I've been slowly gathering parts together, like these pedal boxes. They needed a clean up and new cylinders.

While I wait on the clutch slave to arrive, the wings and rad panel have been getting some attention. This will be a 15 yard paint job. I have enough landy spares to fill several lock ups and the wings that came with it have been added to the pile while a pair I acquired years ago off a '65 were liberated from the shadows. There were deep gouges on one wing so hammer and filler was applied.

post-5582-0-59303500-1428872279_thumb.jpg crap but better.

The rad panel i have has seen better days but also worse days before someone repaired the bottom rail.

Flap disc, acid rust treatment, primer, shultz, paint and it's still rough but serviceable.

Lots still to do. And loose fitting to get that light at the end of the tunnel feel.

Where at Halfway Bridge was this Scruff? The Lodsworth side or the Graffham side?

I grew up in Tillington/Petworth/Midhurst. My old stomping ground. My dad has a building firm round there, and we knew loads of farmers. Some excellent old chod tucked away in out of the way barns!

I've just got my diary out and I got it well_rong, they are actually at Selham. I won't say exactly where but a not very subtle clue is "Dr. Beeching"

Google maps suggests they haven't gone anywhere!

Gotcha exactly. My old man had a load of building work for the dairy in Selham, and the farmer next door at Halfway Bridge. You wouldn't believe the chod plant tucked away in some of those barns.
