Clio, anyone? - Shite, and priced accordingly (£300)

The time has come for Miss_Chegg_Junior to buy something a little more "presentable", so her highly desirable* Clio is looking for a new home.

It's a 2000 (W) plate 1.4S, with 100k on the clock. The MoT expires mid-January (but will sail through etc etc), with tax until the end of March.

The Good Bits:

Sporty interior in decent condition, with no rips, burns or dubious stains - it even has barrytastic white clocks.

It starts

It steers

It stops

It is fitted with the guaranteed* no-leaks, ever* factory-fit sunroof, which is so sought after*

All electrics work (no, really...).

The cambelt was changed at 88k.

The Bad Bits:

The engine still runs OK, but measures 6.5 on the "Skeleton Wanking in a Biscuit Tin" scale

Fortunately, this is drowned out by a wheel bearing which sounds like a Lancaster bomber coming in to land

The Remote locking...errr...doesn't

The bodywork isn't great. Not rusty, but a bit bashed about in places

The alloys are round, but have little else in their favour. The tyres are a mixture of the good, the bad and the ugly.

£300 to a fellow shiter - we're in Reading (can collect from station)

The pictures do flatter it a bit...

For an extra £20 I can draw a cock on the bonnet ;-)

You can draw a cock on my bonnet for £20. Might do it myself, if I can scrape the money together.

My mate was looking for one of these - I'll enquire ...

But -another- car from the Reading area? I've bought four from there in the past year! (it's 300 miles from me).

"The engine still runs OK, but measures 6.5 on the "Skeleton Wanking in a Biscuit Tin" scale" ahh, the good old Autoshite skeleton ;-)
