I never thought I'd ever own a Subaru, never mind two.

I bought the Justy off Will 'WillSwitchEngage' last month, travelling down to Reading area for the third time this year to collect it.

It runs like poo at the moment, the vacuum lines are OK, but taking off the cap, the original rotor looked worn and the cap points were 1mm thick in carbon. I've ordered a new set direct from Subaru, as the previous previous owner put it through Subaru every year for a service, and kept an impeccible record of receipts, notes, etc in a binder. It has everything original, the roof rack is Subaru, the back box stamped as Subaru, the tyres are original 'recommended' brand Michelins (although the receipt is from early 2000's). It has Subaru seat covers in the back, but it looks like the fronts have been removed with a knife. There are many interesting dated notes in the binder that reads like an accountant's filofax.

Getting 45mpg, and looking forward to the switchable 4WD in the snow and winter, beforehand getting the underside undersealed and will put in for a 'genuine S.S.H.' in Conwy (nearest one to me), although I can see I'll avoid the most extreme weather as it's had a good life, and get a Daihatsu Sportrak. :)

I do like a Justy, and that looks quite nice.

I always wondered if the Suzuki Swift gti enjin would work in the 2nd gen Justy.

Subarus, especially the older ones from the 80s and 90s, are fantastic cars! Great to drive, nice engine-roar, especially the boxer-engined-ones, great traktion with the 4WD and cool looking too. A bit obscure, but that ads charme. I love them, had 5 or 6 Subarus before. At the moment, I have a 86 Leone Turismo that´s getting restored.

May I see your parking permit?

These are parked outside work, I swap them over as you can't get a spot after 7.30am. Impreza was merely parked there for photographic purposes. Incidentally, the only spots that are ever free are the 10 disabled spots the council put in last year.

That 4WD justy look fantastic, probably won't snow this year after all that :)
