Yeah, that's alright. Say you shit on French chod. But you sounded like a MoneySavingExpert.commer.

Well, avoiding French chod is certainly a good way of saving money... :-D

(unless you buy aging Italian chod instead, in which case you'll spend double the amount on mig wire and valium)

I very nearly bought this about 15 years ago. Bauer Millett had it up for about £6k. Virtually bugger all mileage, as new. I was sorely tempted, but realised that if I owned it, I'd use it, and then it'd end up just a rusty old one-off wreck.

The Gamma ended up in a museum somewhere, Belgium possibly.

It was a one off built by Pininfarina, why they only made one is a mystery to me.

I only fancied buying it because it was there. At the time they were having trouble shifting it...

It was unregistered when I looked at it.

I see it as a massive lost opportunity for Lancia. This would have comfortably outsold the always a tad luckless Gamma saloon they actually did build.

The thing is called Lancia Gamma Scala and indeed only one was made for the 1980 Paris Motor Show. The current whereabouts are unknown though, so I fear the worst.

Pininfarina also made an estate, which apparently is alive and well in Italy:

Yeah I have to agree that Gamma is pretty hot. Now I have started looking for a gamma coupe surely they are a sensible car to replace a modern Renault with

I always thought the Lancia Gamma looked better in Coupe form:

And for comparison, the normal one, if there is such a thing as a normal Gamma
