MOT checks online??

I remember once going into a DVLA site that allowed me to check a cars' mot history, including advisories.

I can't remember for the life of me what was now.

If anyone knows, put a link up please.

You need the document ref from the V5 or a previous MOT certificate number. Useful bit of kit!

Old MOT doesn't show all.The document reference number (without spaces) gives the history back to 2006 (I think) including advisories.

The system only shows back to 2005 when the garages were computerised and not all then. It was 06 before all garages were on line.

This does include any failures and what it failed for, as well any advisories issued.

 

Before 2005 there is no way of checking the history as all paper copies were not needed to be kept by the garage after only 18mths.
