dome Posted June 29, 2013 Posted June 29, 2013 What about Blackadders old Merc 6.9? How much did it go for?
cort16 Posted June 29, 2013 Author Posted June 29, 2013 I think it was over 10 grand. It was nice but the rear arches had filler in them too.
kinkersaab Posted June 29, 2013 Posted June 29, 2013 The old jag is hopeless, I know the last owner who had it for years and never seemed to get it running, best avoided.
cort16 Posted June 29, 2013 Author Posted June 29, 2013 I can't remember exactly it was less than £500. There was also a fair bit of grot around the rear wheel arches. I wandered in and out the hall as lots I was interested in came up as. They seem like a pretty slick auction though, more organised than the ones around here
Lacquer Peel Posted June 29, 2013 Posted June 29, 2013 I like the Volvo 740, but £1750+ for that one?
ayrshirelad Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 I went up and took pics for ccb mag. I think the red volvo went for around 1600 all in including commiion etc. When i find me catalogue that i wrote the prices on!!! i will see for sure as i think the volvo was sold after the auction ie it was a provisionally sold. i think from memory. I was stunned at the price of the merc. However the german chappy who paid 1500 for the blue rolls with a power steering leak may or may not have got a bargian. He certainly had a good look over the car. He told me he didnt buy the tr7 as the cost of the car and shipping it back would have been to much. I always like Morris Leslie auctions. The blue Granny wansnt as good as it looked. It has been sitting about for nearly 3 years. Saw it 2 years past inseptember at Inter city auctions.
cort16 Posted July 5, 2013 Author Posted July 5, 2013 I thought the Volvo went for more than that? I bloody missed that Rolls Royce as I was outside wandering around. Probably for the best. That Merc's up for sale on the and Carandclassic website for £6950. I can't remember exactly what it sold for but once you include commission there can't be too much profit left in it.http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C390213
