I bought a Y reg 1.4 Authentique from ebay in 2016 for £159. Apart from needing the crank sensor cleaning it had zero issues and was a tidy wee bus after a clean. It gave me 2 years of faultless service before I sold it on here.

In terms of comfort, space, refinement and spec, I realised then that everybody was mad at the time for buying anything else (apart from a Corolla maybe). Escorts and Astras were shite and dull in comparison. I'd been doing it wrong!
