Cavcraft Posted May 5, 2013 Posted May 5, 2013 Lordy, will you check out the amount of hammerage needed to improve those back lights? Didn't someone on here go and see that Calibra recently, I'm sure it looks familiar? Cheers Rod, I'm a bit skint to be honest though
Negative Creep Posted May 5, 2013 Posted May 5, 2013 Pretty sure they're factory fit rear lights, hardly ever seen one without them
John F Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 It's been ruined by the usual illiterate chav, judging by its appearance and that shameful list of mong accessories. Avoid at all costs. 8v Calibras are not 'quiet' rare.
Station Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 The 'later type' didnt have a pot type flywheel, all the na 2.0 had flat flywheels and all had inspection covers. The turbo an v6 had pot/wide flywheels, and you can do the clutch easy through the plate on both, the thicker flywheel just meant you had to split the gearbox a little bit. Also rear 8v are pretty good - 130bhp and just as good as the 16v. I wouldn't buy this because it's been chavved up, therefore spannered

I wouldn't buy this because it's been chavved up, therefore spannered IIRC it was only the 20SEH that has 130 bhp... the c20ne 'only' has 115 bhp, which doesn't really matter 'cos it's quite a torquey engine. I put a couple of hundred miles on a c20ne Calibra yesterday, and without going up to seriously licence-losing speeds it didn't feel much slower than my V6.

Partridge Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 I posted a link to this ages ago It’s being sold by a Mr “MGBMarvelâ€Â. AROnline has a chat room. Join and talk to him. That’s a direct order.
Partridge Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 Gotta be quick. It’s going to be scrapped very soon.
Cavcraft Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 To be honest if he's threatening to scrap it yet wants that amount of money for it then he may as well sack it off. It looks gash and needs work yet is priced the same as you'd get a decent, MOT'd one for that you wouldn't need to take a sledge hammer to the back lights to. It's a shame because it's worth saving, but he's pricing it out of the market. Also, I don't know about anyone else but if a seller starts threatening a car with being scrapped, then it actually puts me off buying it even more as it's almost a form of emotional blackmail and I hate that.Anyhow, he's probably a great bloke that can't shift it so he'll either have to knock the price down or call the metal men in.
gdhaydock Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 Only paid £400 for mine, road legal and a V6 as well .......
