Leeds back in the day

There is a good FB page where people upload their old local pics and then other people with single figure IQs discuss how its was better in those days as things were simpler, there was customer service, there was some individuality not the same generic pap everywhere, people were nicer to each other and there there were less foreigners. Basically exactly the same as on here except with the word "foreigners" replaced by "Dual Mass Flywheels".

Here are some photos I have singled out for chod and where I can, a photo of what it currently look like (although am happy to stand corrected on location for anyone more in the know).

 

 

Train Station. Google must not have come down here but drove straight up the pedestrianised street above......

I cant even get close to this image. There is basically a big building there.

 

For the other photo there is a big lorry parked there ruining the shot.

Spent a fair chunk of the 90's At leeds university so interesting to see what was there before the landmarks im more familiar with

Brilliant stuff, actually just spent the day in town for the first time in ages, really interesting to look at those old pics coming back home. To be fair, it has changed quite a lot, even in the time I've lived here (since 2004).
