A shit load of trouble shooting steps

 

Well, what do you know, I got home today and it is still light so after a spot of dinner I wondered out to have a quick glance over the engine in the remaining light.

 

Sure enough, after wiping off the clear fuel line, it became obvious that it had more air than fuel in it. Whipping off the air filer housing, there was damp all around the white plastic cross thing and the fuel pipe from the bulb to the housing fell off when I looked at it too hard.

 

I slapped a new jubilee clip on the fuel line and because I have no idea what RFL or RTA or what ever you you said was, I just bunged a load of automotive silicon sealant into the recess that the little cross is in. Hopefully this is at least approximately right and wont cause a massive fire ball or asplosion.

 

Tomorrow morning will tell if this has fixed the problem.

 

As for the EGR, glow plugs and other assorted bollocks, I will have a look at that in the coming evenings or possibly at the weekend depending on how much of a fuck I can give at the time.
