I ordered the Police 132 a few weeks back from E-bay and am currently waiting on it. It is new with no box, but mega cheap (think about £7 and a fiver postage). I think I remember someone saying that these types of bargains are probably pocketed items from the production line as they always seem to come from China directly. Despite that, the models usually go for about a fiver and add same again for postage and you've got a bargain!!! I also bought my Tagora and R14 model this way :lol: Just going to check that Seat 132 now! Cheers Regie!

That's what I suspect! It's too much of a coincidence that they're made out there & these eBayers selling them are based out there & it's funny how the models have never ever ever got the box with them! :wink:

I'm tempted to do that for some of the ones that I've missed that don't seem to get offered as frequently by European eBayers. But I'm a bit of a freak for having everything 'just so' so tend to hang on until I can get one in it's proper box that I know will only have been handled by the production / packaging dept. I could be waiting a while! :roll:

 

Which Tagora did you get, the white or the black? (pics please!)

I assume the 14 is the same silver GTS I've got? Handy because it's a Portuguese model of a Spanish car so is of the GTS, the likes of which the real version was only available in the Spanish market from Renault's Spanish factories. Also it's the first model of a 'phase 2' R14 from 1980 - 83 [anorak mode]with the indicators next to the headlights[/anorak mode] :wink:

I've got the yellow R5 turbot and the rallying R9 - the 9's missing its front wheels, but the great thing about B(b)urago is you can pop the wheels off one and fit them on another!I think I might try and get a replacement R14 - they really are lovely!

The Tagora is a black 2.2 GLS. I'm very please with it as it therefore would have the rattly ex-Simca engine 8) I'll get some pics up.IIRC my 14 is a TS, but I'd need to check again. It is indeed the later wrap-around indicator version - its a fine modelIMO :D

They've gone all overkill here in Ireland. Size wise in ascending order you have:

Sedici van

Grande Punto van

Fiorino

Ducato

For Renault 14 models, I've got 1 x Solido, 3 x Norev, 1 x IXO, 2 x Burago, 2 x Mira......think that's it. Always wished there was a Majorette one out there somewhere but I've never seen one. Nearest in that scale is a Norev Mini Jet I suppose, but it was slightly too small.

As mentioned on page 25, some of those Auto Pilen / Pilen models are the same castings as French Dinky but they come in the clear perspex & orange plastic cases as shown in that picture kindly posted by SS90. From that range I have the R14, the Opel Ascona B, Seat 127, Volvo 66DL, R12 Barcelona taxi......think that's it but might have missed something or other!PS: of my bedroom shots on page 25, all of the models from on top of the wardrobe have now gone, been a busy boy bubble wrapping everything in readiness for the house move in two week's time. It's taking bloody hours! :shock::lol:

New shite purchase from e-bay:

Its a ZIL 117, dating from the 70's. (pic rom the listing). I know sod all about them other than they are heavy, sinister Russian Government cars, so will have fun Googling this marque on my lunch break tomorrow.

 

The model was a good buy, ZIL models are quite rare on the bay, this one only set me back a tenner.

 

However it has so far lived up to the terrible build quality of all things automotive and Russian; although both box and car are otherwise mint, 2 of the 4 doors have already sheared off at the hinges and are now held on with blue tack! :D
