Garage Clearance Cont: Loudspeakers FREE To Autoshiters!

Hi all!

Continuing my epic garage clearance, the Haynes service & repair manuals have gone to good homes or charity and I've come across two HUGELY loud loudspeakers. I do vaguely remember "obtaining" these from a contact who cleared them from a radio studio in Birmingham, although the precise circumstances of their acquisition are shrouded in the mists of time (probably just as well!)

I've connected them up to my stereo and they both work well and have a lovely tone, easily handling the maximum output from my Teac hi-fi system. They're 4-way and are (I think) Warfdale ones. 57 cm high by 33 cm wide by 25 cm deep (22.5" by 13" by 10" in old money) I realise they're seriously 1980's and that these days everyone has speakers the size of a mobile phone that can deafen half of London but if anyone wants them, they're free! (But you'll have to collect or come to an arrangement, 'coz they ain't going in the mail!)

Photo here shows speaker with cover off:

And with cover on (bit blurred, but you get the idea!)

As always, offered to the Autoshite community first, as they're my chums!

Yes, I LIKE those!! If no-one else considers it, I would, definitely. I might have to beef up my carrier pigeons though!

Sorry, I ought to have said! I'm in Barnet, in Hertfordshire. Delivery could be arranged for a mutually convenient number of pork pies and bottles of cider! :D

Three friends and I slept in my MK5 Escort one boxing day in a college carpark in Barnet. That was most uncomfortable. Much too far from Yorkshire for me to come, but I'm sure you'll find a home for the Wharfdales

The car park wasn't behind a pub called "The Avenue" was it? Sadly now reduced to a Toby Carvery....
