Planning on arranging a meet in less than a month from now in Dunfermline at an abandoned farm. It is a brilliant location for taking photographs of cars, I'd like to fill the barn with a mass of retro shite and take lots of photos.

How does Sunday 17th February sound?

Here are some photos I've taken there,

I'll try and come if I get my BX put back together by then.

Work calls that Sunday. Preston bound anawl. *HUFF*

Posted

So far 2 sierras, a mk2 escort, an E30, a couple of Polos, a volvo 960 are likely coming along. hope you can make it!

Posted

Looks like an ace idea, thx for the invite :-)

However I've seen some of the awesome motors being taken so there's no way I'm bringing a 3-banger Corsa, you'd hear the laughter as far away as Saline and Glendevon!

Posted

Put me down as a maybe; won't know my shifts until the weekend before. Will no doubt be in the offensively patina'd Volvo unless things go admirably with waking up the Senator.

Posted

It won't matter what car you bring, Hopefully there'll be a good mix of shite as well as some classics.

Posted

I've pencilled it in, 'cos I won't know what my work situation will be until a few days before. If I come, it'll be the Volvo, 'cos neither of the bikes are likely to be ready any time soon. Frankly, I'll feel a bit of a fraud bringing it, but what the hell! I can park it out of sight, and enjoy the rest of the motors.

Also, I assume the Google maps link that's on FB isn't accurate. Or are we meeting in the bus stop halfway up St Margaret's Dr?

Posted

Aye, I thought I'd post up the location nearer the time but if you think it'd be better changing to the actual location now I'll do that.

Posted

Nah, just kidding! Stick it up when you're ready to, don't mind me being an arse...!

Posted

As with others would love to come with 1989 E30 316i but will need to confirm nearer the time! Looks ace

Posted

Seeing as you said you dont mind what cars attend can i be a cheeky git and bring along my classic/retro/not really interesting to anyone 96 Vectra?LOL.

Posted

My car isn't remotely retro, though it is utter shite, so I'll have to hide it round the back or something.

Posted

Even if a quarter of the people wanting to go show up it'll still be quite a good turnout. Richard, bring your camera, could do with someone who has some photographic skill...

I hope to come, but need a bit more spannering time on the BX.

Posted

What time is this going down? Still fancy but on the maybe pile! Would it be bad form to bring 5 year old nephew who is car nut?

Posted

Still on my 'maybe' pile too. On the one hand, lack of work = time. On the other, Sunday visitors may yet call. I also have kids who may want to drag me out to this, more than I do!

Posted

Was thinking the same thing, if I come I might have my wee girl with me. I'll need to get a DVD set up in the back! The Dad of the year award beckons...

Posted

Bring the family, I'm sure id have loved something like this when i was younger.

Posted

Do we have a meting place or a post code for the farm? All being well i willlb e coming from the Kilmarnock area. Is an Ital all being well or an Omega auto shitey enough???

Posted

Glad you asked that - I kept re-reading the thread thinking I must be being thick! 90% sure for a show in the E30 with father in law and nephew all being well!
