Proton GEN-2 opinions please

I've had a couple of the older Personas and they were reasonably decent run arounds with good reliability that could be picked up for buttons at the time.

 

I'd still give anything that wasn't Mitsubishi based a very wide berth.

 

When I moved up to a Hyundai Coupe from the Proton it felt like it had been built by Lexus

 

At this point in time I'd take an older but well loved Hyundai over a Proton if it was my money...

I don't think Protons have any tragic faults; I've sold a few and had no comes backs. Excellent VFM and a bit different to a knackered Hyundai.
