I had a 505GTI Estate. Great fun to drive but a bleeding nightmare to work on.

So they did exsist then???What engine did they run and wernt they RWD??

The GTI estates had a 5 speed manual box or an auto. They differed from the saloons in having 14" wheels and drum brakes on the rear. A close relation was the GTD Turbo which had identical spec but was only available as an auto (although I think the saloons could have a manual box).

Top work indeed. Don't care much for the Citroen, but that Ital more than compensates :)

+1 agreedmy dad had a 505 GTI and a CX GTI both estates great big buses, but then again at 7 years old the back of a mini is roomy lol

Loved the Beemer too, I love original bodykits. And the Allegro is lush, exactly how it should be. Wheres the tyres on the Caddy! :shock:

WOW!! Amazing! Love all those- the Jetta is absolutely gorgeous, the Consul Classic is one of the best I've seen in a long time, and your mates type 3 looks lovely next to that unbelievble Karman Ghia. Where do you work again?

Seen the same modifications on a "caddy" one of these in Telford recently, though couldnt get a piccy as I was driving behind it.

Funny you should say that as RICHIE A on here with the MK2 Sirocco also works with me and comes from Telford and knows some of the VW boys up there!!! Small world LOL

Must be a special kinda Halfords- there's a branch close to where I work, and there's never anything like that in the car park!! The spotty oiks who work there have probably never even seen anything like most of those.

I was stuck for something to do the other night so I decided to lob a new cambelt on my Volvo. Went to Halfords as it was 7pm and everywhere else was shut.'Got a cam belt for a Volvo 240?''NAH......but....... actually i'll just check though cos you never know....... Oh heres one! £10.49'Superb! My Volvo is loving it.

Well between just the staff members we have:

My 1981 ke70 corolla,

Alex's 1976 datsun 120Y (negative creep),

Mikes 1971 type 3 VW fast back,

Richies 1992 VW Scirocco (Richie A),

 

And we love dealing with anything unusual! 8)
