Scirocco 1.8 GT Long T&T £650

This didn't last long at Sporty Towers, but the chance of the Audi, coupled with fixed rear seatbelts mean it's got to go.

 

1.8GT carb version with Weber conversion and manual choke. Tested until July 13 and taxed to end of January 13. Standard apart from 15" OZ alloys. Drives well and pulls strongly, although could probably do with the carb setting up, as it does become a bit hesitant when hot (eg in traffic). It doesn't overheat, and the fan kicks in and out properly. Tracking could do with a look at, but I didn't do this as I was going to put it back on standard wheels, so was waiting until that was done.

Body is solid, although has a couple of dings and a couple of random scabs on drivers door. Never been welded and solid underneath.

 

Only other problems are a small oil leak from cam cover and squeaky aux belt.

 

£650ovno, please. May be up for PX but would need some cash my way to pay for my impending holiday.

I like these, so long as I don't have to travel in the back! It's one of the few VWs that appear to have escaped the "scene"; I do wonder if the Rocco Mafia have owt to do with that.
