Altrenator woes...........VAG specific

Got a borked alternator on a '99 V6 Passat 4motion. Looks like I'm going to have to remove the entire front of the car to get the git off, unless someone knows different.........?

yup, but easyish to do- the front panel etc is designed to come off for belt changes etc, same as A4's A6's etc. check the mounting bracket carefully as I've seen these crack or even break off
