Ah... the greenest car you have ever seen. I went to look at a CX that was advertised a long time ago. When the guy opened the garage doors and I saw THAT cars twin sister I told him " I love the car but not the colour". The seller was a bit aggrieved and pointed out that it had said that it was green in the advert. I had imagined a nice sage or british racing green and had never even considered that a car could be THAT colour. :D

It did look better from the rear...

What I loved was that something as bonkers, old, rare and valuable as that was sitting opposite a load of Visas.

Surely, this must be the bastard offspring of a TA and an Armstrong-Siddeley Hurricane?

Rachel may well find this hypothesis tedious in the extreme...

There were several companies that did aftermarket modification kits for the traction which were mainly just trim add ons but also different radiator nosecones and front wings. (I expect they were frowned on by the purists in the same way that those chromy light unit replacements for Corsas and the like are frowned on today).

This one however looks to be a coachbuilt special trying to convert it into a lightweight copy of a Cord at the front. It is rather nice, the modifications sit well on the original structure and I would love to have it cluttering up my drive.

So would I, and I'm not even a Citroen fan!

Some real Cords were converted in France with Citroen 11cv engines too.
