pompei Posted August 10, 2012 Posted August 10, 2012 Remember all that palaver a few weeks ago about The Doc and his not-quite-as-original-as-he-made-out Vauxhall? Did anyone hear what happened?

pompei Posted August 10, 2012 Author Posted August 10, 2012 Something along the lines of ... the car (Senator I think) was advertised as having always been garaged and cosseted etc etc and then a former owner popped up with pics of it standing on his drive looking somewhat worse for wear. There were also suggestions that the mileage might not have been as low as had been suggested in the ad. Cue all sorts of fuse popping on various forums... I can't remember if it had sold when all this went off. Edit: looks like it didn't, thanks Stude.

Mash Posted August 10, 2012 Posted August 10, 2012 Funny because I didn't have any trouble at all - my Sunny is exactly as he described and I'm really pleased with it.

Cavcraft Posted August 10, 2012 Posted August 10, 2012 I don't know if he's a greedy tosser or not to be honest, I'd describe him as being a bit 'over enthusiastic' with his descriptions, but no-one is forcing anyone to buy a car off him.

Mr_Bo11ox Posted August 10, 2012 Posted August 10, 2012 I would describe him as a winner, I admire him greatly. Whats the justification for calling him a greedy tosser or whatever?

Conrad D. Conelrad Posted August 10, 2012 Posted August 10, 2012 I would like to read the call out thread because it's always looked as if thedoctor is selling quality, well prepped motors. Mash's Sunny would back that up.

Guest Posted August 10, 2012 Posted August 10, 2012 MORE SENATOR.......I want to make it clear to everyone,no way am I trying to knock this car,It was stunning as can be seen in this photo after being washed. The whole point of my post was to draw attention to the e-bay listing, which to anyone who read it gives a nice immage of a retired old gentleman getting his pride and joy out of it's heated garage on Sunday morrning, wasing, polishing then put it away and cover it up again,my pictures just show how I found it late 2002 or early 2003 and how it was stored not as described in the e-bay listing...I will say again looked stunning but looks even nicer now with it's new makeover (I would never endorse the milage either). https://www.facebook.com/#!/photo.php?f ... =3&theater
