Ultra spark electronic ignition

I need to replace my dizzy on the Cortina as the Vacuum Advance unit is knackered on my Motorcraft one, I've been offered a new refurbed Bosch unit complete with Ultra Spark electronic ignition for £69 delivered.

 

Now I've heard of Accuspark as i fitted that to my current dizzy but never heard of Ultra Spark, have any of you guys and do you know if it's any good as the price sounds good so i might order it. Cheers.

I know some one who fitted it to a Herald, and reported noticeable improvement

Ive just agreed to buy it so I'll see what it's like soon, maybe a silly question but are you meant to swap coils when changing from Motorcraft to Bosch dizzys?

is your coil a 12 volt feed or 9 volt with a ballast resistor?

It shouldn't make any difference which type of coil it is - the LT supply (9 or 12v) wiring has nothing to do with the distributor body.

I'm not sure but i think my ballast resistor was removed when my accuspark was fitted on Friday as it was needed.
