Short term car insurance help

Can anyone recommend an insurer for short term (60 days) for me to drive a car owned by someone else?

 

It's a Pug 206, all the quotes I can find are £200+

Does this other person have insurance? If so, just get added to their policy.

I don't think you can insure a car that is owned by someone else can you?

No chance of adding "driving other vehicles" to your own policy? I get it for nowt.

 

Or just insure it for the year and cancel it after 2 month?

Well my dad is trying to flog it for someone else and her name is on the V5 and I'm pretty sure she won't want to add me to her insurance. I was just going to use it while it's sitting around doing nothing and I need a runaround.

 

And Lancaster (TR7 insurance) won't add anything to a policy.

 

It's a lot more complicated than I expected!

 

I might just have to spend a couple of days resurrecting the TR7.
