Let me start by stating that I currently drive a 1995 1.4 Astra, this was meant as a stop gap, but has now been in the household for approximately 6 months, amd now clocks up 1500 miles a month.

Prior to this ive owned amongst others Jaguar, audi, Saab, and Bmws. What im trying to get at, is that when i bought the car it only had 2 months MOT left, OK ill scrap it after this as its bound to fail, no staright through, today put it in to KWIKFIT ( I Know there the only peeps open on sunday round here )but they bled the brakes for free and wished me a good day.Now the car is driving smoothly, and braking well.

I refer back to one of my previous cars a BMW 323, as soon as the car was on the forecourt, i could feel my wallet emptying there and then, had a head gasket, all pipes replaced at no time did they advise me that parts should be good for another year or so, just replace, and replace at vast expense. Is it me or does it seem that its all about peoples perception, when it comes to fixing parts on car, nice car lets bum him for the price of repairs. Ive now decided to call my car the cat, due to still having 7 of its 9 lives left when if the expense was sizable it would be sold or scrapped. So my solution is forget the car snobs, try a bit of autoshite, and get reliable informatve people working on your car without seeing pound signs in there eyes..
