Anybody want my van?

I have a cruddy Y reg Citroen C15 which I wish to get rid of, would anyone on here fancy it?

It is taxed and tested for a short time (tax to end of September, MOT early August I think). 1.9 diesel, 117k on the clock, five speed, cloth seats. Things which don't work are the fan blower, the drivers' door window winder and the air intake hose split open. It's pretty rusty and the brakes are the usual C15 fare (shit). Needs a pair of front tyres for the next test, I don't know what else as the plan was to run it until it went bang or the MOT ran out and then sell it or weigh it in.

I've had it since last October and apart from a new front pipe, I haven't spent a penny on it, it's been dead reliable and very economical. Massively useful as well.

I was thinking £350 or so, open to offers though. I live near Stamford and work near Wellingborough if anyone wants a look.

I will clean it by the way!!!

When you say pretty rusty, do you mean scabby rust or rotting chassis/ sills etc? also where are you based?

Ok...ignore the last question, I read it propperly and realised its Stamford :roll::oops:

I like the way a later wheel has just been thrown on there. Also the steering wheel knob, which of course is GR3 4 CHEST INJUREES IN COLLISHUNS

I will have a closer look at it but it mostly seems to be the doors, bonnet and roof that are the worst bits. There is rot in the sills but the last time I looked it wasn't too bad (famous last words)

The wally knob was an add on by the sole previous owner who was also in I.A.M, when I picked the thing up there were stickers all over it. Didn't stop him dinging it up though.

Cheers, I could be very tempted... while you are under would you mind looking at the brake and fuel pipes as well....I know what a cheek...

No problem, it might be a couple of days before I can get to it but I'll dangle it off the forklift and get some pics of it's belly if you want.

please that would be great.. :D

Standards are dropping in the IAM. I thought they'd chop your balls off if you used one of those knobs, rather than feeding the wheel calmly through your hands when negotiating a corner...

They're GR8 4 forklift drivers though.

What is the max payload on this? I could do with something to cart a load of building shit around for a month or two whilst my garages are being built etc.

I believe it is 600kgs. It's ideal for what you suggest though, I have had big lumps of steam engine in it and all sorts of other heavy stuff.

I'm supposed to be breaking one of these at the minute, I could sort out a bonnet, heater blower and a couple of legal tyres on rims if required.

Used to be loads of these little MUTHAS about and they must be somewhere near the very top of Autoshite vanning. Surely if someone could coax this through another MOT in a couple of months time it must be well worth having?

I used to carry full 205lt drums of anti freeze in the back of these, Now that was hairy!

Sorry for the delay with photos, extremely busy at work and working late trying to get the steam roller back together for this weekend! Hope to get van, camera and forklift in the same place by the weekend.

Here you go - I don't think it looks too bad TBH but I'm no expert
