Shitley request - Stratford Avon- Edinburgh

Anyone coming up to Scotland between mid/late June and early July?

 

If so the Saab 9000 I bought is in Stratford on Avon - I was planning to head down on the train early July to collect but if anyone is coming up this way and fancies driving it up then I would be very grateful - even to the point of supplying a vehicle for holiday purposes/return journey (that is if you don't mind driving the Autoshite Beatnik Bus 740)

I'll be driving up to Edinburgh from Coventry (near enough to Stratford) on 29 June, returning on 1 July.

 

It's for a stag do (thought I'd mention in case it puts you off, but we're not kraazy and grew out of vomiting in cars etc years ago). Funnily enough we were thinking of getting hold of a cheap old barge to do the trip in but binned the idea due to a lack of cash/time/arsedness.

 

In all seriousness I would be well up for this if you would trust a random off of the internet with your car!! I'd be more than happy to nip over to Stratford to collect the Saab; It'd have to be up to a week eariler, mind, due to work.

I can always supply a half way drop off point in Leeds should this help, I've ample parking and centrally located - 5 mins walk from the Station.

Thanks folks Ceri, that could work. Car is currently being MOTd and then will be taxed. Timing works for me although you'd have to drop car either at predetermined place and collect ovlov as I will be in london with family from 28th till following weekend. We are 1 mile from central Edinburgh.

I think the way it could work is you drive Saab up here, leave and then take 740 to get home - I will collect 740 at some point in the next couple of months, I'd chuck in a petrol contribution - means you could get 4 guys (5 at a squeeze) up here for a lot cheaper than train or plane
