More two-wheeled shite

Picked this little beauty up yesterday.

 

 

It's a Honda Vision DX80, and it basically seems to be the same as a normal Vision but with a slightly bigger engine. Which means it weighs about the same as a packet of crisps and is hopelessly unstable, but will wind itself up to 45 in relatively short order - admittedly not much quicker than a modern derestricted 50 but it does it in a rather more relaxed manner than a 50 would thanks to the bigger engine. It's only done 8K from new and doesn't seem to have been thrashed, and it's bloody tidy for a 16-year-old scooter. I'm intending to use it to buzz into work on (at least until I get round to getting the Spacy back on the road) - its 45mph crusing speed means I should be OK on the 50mph single carriageway road to Norwich.

 

Anyway, all that is mighty fine, but the real reason for this post is the wondrous vehicle I spotted just 400 yards further up the road on this nondescript housing estate in northern Peterborough.

 

 

Ain't that just gawjuss? I couldn't get any closer unfortunately as there were people watching and wondering what the feck I was doing, but it looked to be in pretty solid nick without being pristine - just how I like them. And I can't remember the last time I saw a series 1 Estelle on the road. It made my day. And made me want to pull my finger out and get mine back on the road...

Do you have a series 1? Estelle that is. Shame you couldn't get a rear shot too. It's exactly the same shell wise, isn't it, just completely different front & rear end treatment?Oh & great scooter too! Sorry not my thing was too distracted by the Skoda!

Hope this isn't a thread hi-jack as it IS a Honda and it WILL be shite in a few years, but has anyone seen the new Honda DN-01?

 

 

Was studying one this week and it's an odd sort of thing, quite comfortable to sit on but looks like it's a reject from an 80s futuristic movie to me and that you should be laid out full length on it!

 

Oh and here's a pic of one with a nice girl too for no good reason...
