Just bought a solidish shell with millions of bits missing, does anyone know to a complete donor car I can feltch parts from, or have any odds and ends kicking about cheaply? Stuff like rear subframe mounts, full exhaust e.t.c....

I might be able to help here, i am getting one of these reasonably soon with almost a full car's worth of spares! I've got to A-frame it back from Allendale in Northumberland if you're up for a mission? Might not be for 3-4 weeks though... Do you need an engine/box?

Hi, B. Sounds interesting! The 1300 is currently an auto, but I hope to change it to manual eventually so I may well be in the market for an engine and box. To complete the body I need a passenger sill and front floorpan, but could do with those reasonably quickly, i.e within the next few days!

I'm always up for an A framing mission, Volvo A frame alert level has been stepped up from Beige alert to Burgandy in anticipaction......

Its an easier job if you do the whole front subframe with engine and box fitted as the mountings are slightly different between the auto and the manual.

IIRC there are different speedo pick ups too depending on whether you have the ribon type speedo or the dial (so check which type the donor car had). Hydralastic units are getting increasingly harder to find too. I went the other way from manual to badermatic with mine following loss of 2nd and then 3rd and reverse only being possible by stopping the engine

The only donor at the time that was in my price bracket (free) was an accident damaged auto. Mind you I went from 1100cc to 1300cc over a weekend.

I havn't got any spare parts but if you need a photo taking of something or general 'what goes here?' type questions I can try and help. Best of luck and all that :D
