cobblers Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 I've got a VW 1.9d engine (1Y code, fits polo/golf/caddy of around 1993-1999 ish era) that I only bought to nick the mounts and sump off. It's pretty much just the block, head and manifolds that are left and I was going to stick it over the bridge with the next scrap run, but it seems a shame cos it's a perfectly good engine and there's bound to be someone with golf that's smoking more than a car boot sale gas fire. I estimate it weights well over 750KG from lifting the bastard into the crate. The 100% definitely not stolen crate is unfortunately not included. Don't all shout up at once, but come with approximately 4 litres of beer* and take it off my hands. I imagine it would go great in a LWB T4 with a wet MDF camper conversion and a full chemical toilet. I've got a golf sump and flywheel and most of the stuff to make it a complete engine as well, for more beer. No diesel pump tho *shit lager is also fine.
cobblers Posted May 2, 2012 Author Posted May 2, 2012 Interested here..... Quick! Come and get it before someone else does*
Albert Ross Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 RIght.... You on Farcebook or owt? Or wanna send me your phone number? It's for a mate of mine, who wants to upgrade his 1988 Caddy pickup, without silly mods!! What sort of beer and how many? He could probably pick up, seeing as he has an .. erm.. pick up! It's also shite, painted beigey/Ivory with flowers on!
Cavcraft Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 Aye up Cobblers, don't suppose you know what happened to the pump from this engine do you? I need one for parts!
cobblers Posted May 3, 2012 Author Posted May 3, 2012 Diesel pump? I flogged it to some lad with a caddy.
Cavcraft Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 I was hoping some of the internals were the same so we could repair mine.
