Redcar Tractor-shite

These pictures have been sat on my hard drive since Christmas, so I thought it would be a shame not to post them.

For a couple of years I worked in Redcar, on the steel works, Monday to Friday, then back down to Lincolnshire at the weekend. I finished in Summer 2009, but have been back a couple of times to see friends. I always meant to take some pictures of all the old tractors that are are owned by the fisherman to put their boats in and out of the sea. I finally took some pictures, when I was up there before Christmas - so here they are.

The appropriately named 'Fishermans Square'...

Also, the same weekend I ended up in a farm shop and cafe. I can't remember where and what it was called, but it was on the road between Pickering and Helmsley.

They had these three restored tractors on display.

aaaahhh memories

i used to drive one of those, many years ago. I got paid for picking it up off the beach early morning, parking it in fishermans square and then driving it back to pick up the coble mid-afternoon, then off to the Royal for a pint, or six

I was at the Hertfordshire County Show today and there was some great tractor-shite on display. Rather than start a new tractor thread I thought I'd resurrect this one from the archives.

Sorry about the various children getting in the way - it wasn't really possible to avoid them.
