Tbh it sounds like they may be trying to pressure you into buying it for more money. Some people like to mention banger racing or scrap money to put the squeeze on a bit. Fair play to you if you want it enough but personally I'd just tell them my top price and suggesting they take the banger offer if it's better money.

No problem with Geeky questions Trigger, its from Guthrie Motors Brentwood...Still got its dealer stickers and number plates.

I also love seeing dealer stickers on old cars, Shame it's not the garage i was hoping it was though.

 

I grew up opposite Eary and Jones Renault in Feering, Essex, the garage is long gone now but i'd love to see the dealers sticker again.
