Rare as that blue one is, and much as I love old Renaults, I really don't think it's worth £275. Mind you, it's probably a good job it is a bit salty - if it were much cheaper I might very well be breaking my "no more projects" resolution.

So it finally went for £195.00. It'll be interesting what happens next, apparently one of the bidders is also on here,if so please let us know what you are going to do with it.

Emailed the owner the other day as I couldn't get to see it until Friday, so hoping to do that now its not reached its reserve on ebay...

But I am getting a bit carried away at the moment.

Just picked up the Gold 18GTX from down near Brighton, its not as good as it looked, are they ever? And there is a Silver mark 1 Espace finishing on Sat with my name on it.

Great Stuart, glad you saved it. I didn't have enough time or money for it, a shame really as these never come up on ebay that often at all! Keep us posted with the updates maybe you could do us a thread on this specific vehicle. I'd love to see it when (if) you complete it.

Looks very nice. Would absolutely love a TS model, the seats look really comfortable!

The seats are very comfotable and surprisingly have never seen upholstery cleaner. The photograph of the interior was only taken yesterday afternoon although the exterior photographs were taken around 6 years ago. This car was only a few months old when I started learning to drive in it.

Geeky question Stu but what is the garage name on the dealer sticker on the rear window?, I see it's a Essex number plate and I'm wondering if it's from the same Renault garage i grew up opposite.

Had to give up on the 14 as the owner would not let me see it on Friday and had had an offer of £250 from a banger racer! He said I could go back down and see it on sunday but for me thats just not possible...Would be such a shame to see something as rare as a RHD 14 wasted.

On the plus side though I have won the Espace! And will be collecting that on Friday the 13th, what could go wrong...

Sorry, so much history attached to this car and this is my reason for not wanting to sell. Alex I also own 2 Pug 205 Diesels, a 1987 XLD which has covered 498625 miles and is nearly at the end of its restoration, thank god!!, the other is a 1996 205 Diesel which has covered 10500 miles and bought recently in Wakefield. Both are 3 doors, the 1987 one was featured under the heading Does this qualify as AS, posted by hennabm. Hence have a bit of a soft spot for old French cars.

Thats a shame. He told me he wanted to see it go to a restorer as that what he bought it for, if that was the case you would think he might be slightly more flexible!

I have mailed them via gumtree, I might just go and see what it's like. I have asked to see the underside, so let's hope it's not so bad and that they actually upload the pictures. If he or she dare even sell it to a banger-racer enthusiast; my God do they deserve to be hung, drawn and quartered. No that's a bit harsh.
