garethj Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 Details are sketchy because it’s not mine. A bloke in work is sending his metallic green AX 1.5 diesel over the bridge tomorrow for £90 It only weighs about 720kg and most of that is plastic if I remember correctly. It’s got 219,000 on the clock, the fuel filter is missing and there’s tape holding the headlight on. It also has an appetite for glow plugs I’m told. On the plus side, it’s got MoT until June and surely it’s the most economical old snotter that money can buy? He’s owned it for 12 years and it gets used on a longish commute every day so it’ll probably get you home, no warranty given, implied or can have a smaller warranty hammered over the top of it. His insurance runs out tomorrow at midday and that’s when it’s being collected. Collection from Cambridge city centre before then it a must. I know it’s short notice, but if someone’s in dire need of some cheap wheels, a hundred quid is good going.
Lankytim Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 I've driven one of these things and it was great! 567MPG also appeals. Shame its being fragged so soon as it would have made a great little work hack!
oman5 Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 too far away for a non runner or I'd have it. AX diesels still have a cult following due to phenomenal MPG
warren t claim Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 This would be an ace addition to my DHSS fleet if it was nearer.
pandamonium Posted January 24, 2012 Posted January 24, 2012 Crap timing! Would have given this a stab

garethj Posted January 25, 2012 Author Posted January 25, 2012 Nope, now gone over the rainbow bridge to frolic in the lush heaven of Citroen afterlife. That makes my Pug 205 is the oldest car in the office carpark
