Red? Probably not the van then. The van I know of was a 1976, so should be R suffix but somehow the DVLA managed to issue it with an R-reg prefix!

Nope - was a red Spécial saloon which I passed this afternoon on the coast road. Never seen it around before. Caused me some confusion, I have to confess.

I'll ask about Wuv. I know of a P-reg prefix which was one of those that wasn't registered until 1997. A few late ones were just stashed away and not registered when production ended in 1990.

2CV weirdness has reached such a level, that they're now able to jump across from a dimension where 2CV's were available in '97*?

Or it was just stashed away.

There she is. Definitely an import, though that doesn't explain what's going on! It's clearly a 1984-1990 2CV.

Yup, that's the one. Thanks DW. I think Mr. Daft's suggestion of a DVLA cock-up may be pretty close to the mark - maybe someone at Swansea misread 1989 as 1998?

See the 2CV Road Run thread. Presumably it was the folk heading home who stayed near Bala on the Sunday night. Two 2CVs were yellow, one was a van.
