Yeah, ok, you need a bit more information than that. My Granada has little plastic grilles over the vents that flank the rear screen; 2 per side. Well it should have, I've lost one. It's dropped out on the road somewhere, since the Great Suspension Collapse. So if any of you stumble across a couple (doesn't hurt to have a spare) would you PM me please and we'll talk about postage? Ta muchly.

Postage shouldn't be too hefty - one (or the only) benefit of being in an EU country. At a guess I would say three and a half quid would cover it (small packet).

It is rather nice to have the only surviving, running example of a given model on the island (as far as we know) but it does make finding secondhand parts a bit of a challenge! All help gratefully received...

This is what we're looking for. I've just laid the top one in place here, as it too was loose, so until another arrives, this one is living in the centre armrest box. Curiously, the pair on the other side feel solid.

I used to have a latex mould / plastic making set, I could have made those for pennies. As it was, I made a bunch of plastic BL wing badges.

 

Must be someone about able to knock some up.

I've just been asked (well, a few hours ago) to try and find a LHS door mirror for a 1981 Mercedes W123 saloon. Anybody got one to spare, complete?

OK, we got the door mirror, but I still need the vent grille, or grilles. My car looks awfully scruffy without, which can't be helping its sale prospects.

I can't believe how quickly this has slipped down to Page 4! Shows how vital and alive the forum is, I suppose; which can't be bad! Someone among us must know some banger racers or scrapyard owners, or retired Ford dealers.... anyone who might have at least one of these vent grilles knocking about. I really need one ASAP.

I contacted some gitstain on eBay who was breaking a Mk1 and he wanted £80 (!?) for the pair. I told him to do the horizontal cha cha slide. Fuckwit.

 

In other news, I now have a box large enough to fit all your stuff in yet small enough to fit on a pallet. Although you may want to get your wallet out. Christ knows how I'm gonna weigh it though.

That's great news Jon! Andreas will be delighted, he's been badgering me about this stuff.... As for the grilles, you did the right thing. I'll mould them myself before I'll pay that!

Andreas has just stripped a couple of 2.0 Pintos to go in the next project Escorts. He needs crankshaft bearings, big-end bearings and piston rings; complete sets, enough for at least two engines. Possibly more, as he has more Escort shells to build up. He may also need some or all of this for a Crossflow, but he hasn't stripped that down yet, we'll have to let you know. We have part numbers off the bearings; it's all standard-size kit that he wants. If you could PM me with costs, I can Paypal you. Thanks!

Further Plea. We are in need of one conrod for a 1600 Kent, in good condition. Andreas was stressing urgency this morning, I think someone's had a disaster over the weekend. Is it advisable to buy a set rather than singles?

 

Still no news on the other stuff we need, it seems.
