I'm going to be zero help, but just wanted to say... How cool is THAT? GR9.4 for in-car karaoke, or more likely Sing-along-a-Max as it was the 1970s.

Good luck.

Did we ever get any pictures of the Elite, by the way?

^Felly's right, but are you doing all this on a phone or something? Anywayz, happy to help if it means we get some Lotus Wedge and hot Mitterand chariot action - I'll pm you an email address.

I believe Paul McCartney had a cassette recorder in his car back in the 60s. Also, one of the first sat-nav systems available in Japan had a built in karaoke function, with microphones for people in the back.

Sat nav karaoke = genius! I assume there were actual songs involved, rather than just singing along with 'in three hundred yards, take the second exit at the roundabout, signposted Okinawa'? (Or presumably in Macca's case, 'take The Long And Winding Road signposted Mull of Kintyre'?)
