I was munching my dinner in front of the telly last night watching Beeny's Restoration Nightmare, or rather, the missus was watching it as I really couldn't care a fig - until - that is I saw some A1 KWALITY CHOD -

 

for those of you who have not seen the program essentially the property makeover bird Sarah Beeny and her husband bought a 91 room wreck of a stately home ear hull about 12 years ago and have been restoring it on a budget ever since.

 

I am rather indifferent about these programs buying a place like that is the property equivalent of trying to restore a rotten barn find Citroen SM -ie it's a huge money pit which will never work well -

 

anyway - respect went shooting up when I saw that her husbands preferred choice of family transport was what looked like an early Mark III Granada saloon in maroon with 3 missing wheel trims and a ruddy great dent down the off side panels!!! A true shitter - maybe we should send him an invite to join us?

Yeh, saw it on the last series, I reckon they must use it around the 'estate' for a hack, I doubt it gets used on the roads.

definately on the road - they used it, appropriately, to visit an old Yorkshire giffer who collected all sorts of household chod and insisted on wearing a tweed cap in the house - bet he drives a 'Richard Bucket' spec Rover 216!

ah, I haven't seen last nights one yet! I've only ever seen it in the grounds of the place and then they use an S max when they are out.
