Garage recommendation in Merseyside?

I have only ever taken cars of my own to a garage twice, once when the spark plug blew out of the cylinder head on my Dyane when I was 17 (Helicoil, £12) and last winter when the alternator died on my XM and I couldn't face lying in the snow trying to reach the damn thing which was well embeded betwixt the hydraulic pump and air con compressor (£120 despite supplying the alternator.)

Now one of the rear wheel bearings is dying on the MB 190, and whereas previously with wheel bearings I have just whipped off the hub and carried it round to my local bodger to press the bearing out, I know that the Merc rear's are complete bastards, and it is unlikely that the press in question will touch it.

I don't want to spend hours driving round garages in the girlfriends car searching in vain for someone with a decent press, and being unable to get the car back for work the next day.

Therefore I have been considering doing the unthinkable and taking the car to a garage, and paying a nice man to fix it for me.

Does anyone know a suitable nice man?

Pete M or Billy perhaps?

Think it's Ledsham which is sort of not far from Hooton/Neston/Two Mills if you know it?

If a decent garage press would do it I'll ask my son as the garage he works at isn't a million miles from your neck of the woods.

Oh, try Tony at: MB Motors In Queensferry Deeside 01244 289311, if that place is still going they're definately worth a try. They're somewhere in/near Deeside Ind. Est and Tony is a bloody diamond of a bloke.
