For anyone that finds 'New Motor John' a bit too high tech there is 'Car Capers'

 

 

My sister's and my kids used to play this at my parents house, they must have picked it up at a car boot or jumble.

 

 

Unfortunately got one piece missing (rear part of Sunbeam Rapier).

The 1912 Hispano Suiza is a little bit out of place with the other cars.

Wow I had that, in fact I was just trying to remember what happened to it the other day.

 

I could remember the blue Vauxhall Viva and the orange Austin 1300GT!

I had that too!, and Top Trump cars from the same era, I think they all got dumped when i left home sadly.

That's interesting the older one on ebay has a Hunter, the one here has an Avenger and a Rapier so there must be even more versions about.

My cousin had the version with the Beetle convertible ('79?). We used to play in his kitchen, in front of the oven. Not sure why.

IIRC the one I had had an Avenger!

I'm sure I've had at least two versions of that! I remember the Silver Shadow and the Mk3 Cortina, and yes, always felt the Hispano was a bit of a cuckoo.

 

Just had a look in my games cupboard and there's no Car Capers, so probably neither version survived the move over here.
