FS - Tired 2001 Proton Impian £200

Exctiting news, the gImp is getting weighed in next week as it will become surplus to requirements from Saturday (I'll need it til then).

 

In the next it will need:

 

a new front fog/indicator bulb holder/cluster (which looks the devil's work to get at)

front discs and pads

clutch

drivers window reg

 

And probably some other stuff.

 

If anyone off here wants it instead @ scrap value either to rip bits off, or have fun timez, get in touch before friday and she's all yours. I will, however still need her until friday when my new chariot will become available.

 

It's ace, but everything seems to be hitting end of life at the same time and now it's pretending to be Variomatic it's less fun than it was.

 

Oh yeah, it's still taxed til november and has test til next Feb.

... not much Impian activity - over on the Proton Owners Club - where I park my thumbs, most days.

 

If you can't get shot & weigh 'er in at least take off the rear lights.... some 'smacked arse' owner will be glad of non dealer availability... probably best, a set, with the rear bumper.

Seems a bit of a shame to get it weighed in. I'd have it if I were in the market for a jap based reliable runaround, not worth getting the clutch done and selling for a few more £££?

I reckon in 'prisitine GR8 for showz" condition it's worth about £500, so without going through the cost breakdown of each job that needs jobbing, no, it wouldn't be worth it! (To me at least).

 

It will be a shame to bridge it, but it'd probably serve the greater imp community by giving away it's remaining good bits (i'll keep hold of the lights, front + rear so eBay can bum me for 10% across them) to help tidier Imps live on! Unless anyone on here wants to blezz around in it for a month or two and then do the same, in which case they're welcome to it. It's going tomorrow afternoon though unless anyone does want it.
