I'm on a bit of a mission to relive my youth and I fancy sticking my fingers to my face and buying a whole tin of Humbrol just to paint one pipe on an engine. Specifically, I'm after some plastic model kits for cars I've owned so I can create replicas..... does anyone have a good source of these? I'd like to keep all to the same scale, I'm used to 1:24 or so.

 

I can find Mk2 and Mk3 Golfs (Mk2s are GTI only but as mine was a Driver I'll just glue the bonnet shut and source some rubbish wheeltrims). I can find my 1965 Beetle, or rather a 1966 but I'm not that anal.

I CAN'T find Mk3 Polo, Audi 90, Mk2 Astra GTE Cabrio or VW Type 3.

 

Help....? I can find most of them in metal models but I do really want the stress of building something.

What kind of Audi 90 are you looking for? I'm pretty sure that Hasegawa or Fujimi did a 1/24 version of the 'aero' type.
