Range Rover - diesel - £995

Well, if the Saab won't sell, the Rangie is going to have to go.

 

VM Italian diesel, but the 2.5-litre one, so mildly more power than a Tdi and 30mpg should be possible. No overheating and coolant looks fresh. Cosmetics a bit ropey but very solid underneath (bar rot in the front inner arches). Drives well (bar soft clutch - think there's still air in the system). Heater kaput, but blows through nice and warm when you're on the move. Tow bar, naturally and it tows nicely. ABS light on (light removed) but has new discs and pads on the back. MOT and tax until May 2012. Has been gently off-roaded. I'm not a rally driver. I actually try to avoid hitting things!

 

Might consider a shite swap, but would have to have some cash my way, or the BX will never get finished.

Are you sure about selling, you may never find another solid Rangy. Prospective buyers should note that I have a scrap Rangy with working heater fan components they're welcome to, no need to reach for that socket 'n hammer.
