Maximum Roverdrive, KV6 Sound 'n Vision:- Now Audible!

For the benefit of all (both) the people who have requested it, I tried to record the KV6 engine note on my way to work this morning.

Recorded with both front windows ajar. Problem is, there's too much sound insulation and you can hardly hear the bloody thing on the video.

If you can't hear it, go "NYYEUUAAAAAAAAAH! NYYEUUUUAAAAAAAAAARGH!" 'cos that's how it sounds.

Note the bit of tyre squeal. Lariest thing an 800 has done since 2004.

(sorry it's a bit rubbish)

Made my day that! Nothing like a K in full song. Good job on all the work you did, too.

Brilliant!

Is it just me who's eyes were automatically first drawn to the temperature gauge?

No mate, not just you. There's always been a Rover in my life, and THAT is the gauge you look at, K Series or no.

Excellent, I've driven a KV6 825 Coupe and it was nice, far nicer than the V6 Honda sorts. The roar of the KV6 whilst more refined, doesnt sound unfamiliar to the Honda.

The KV6 sounded and went terrific in 800. Went well to. For a bit, anyway.

Looking at it now, the video I took to for all you KV6 fanatics (!!!!!) was quite a poor effort.

This ones (a bit) better, in as much as you can actually hear it. Check the fuck out of it

.

Or do something better and more useful with your time. Up to you, really.

Hey guys, not sure if this is of any interest to anyone other than Earl or Sir Lord Darth Sterling... picked up today in a charity shop for fifty pee. I suspect hardcore Roverites will already have it, but...

Charity shop awesomeness

If you have the means, I strongly urge you to transfer that to Youtube... That is why I go to charity shops.

Wow! what a find cms. I was always in charity shops and could never find anything as interesting as this. A version on DVD has been on my ebay watch list for a while now. I'll get a copy soon.

It is to my regret that I've not watched it yet so can't comment on content, but if it's as good as I expect it will be there should be a review from a hospital bed in the "horrific erection accident" ward.
