Anybody feeling brave for some Italian Coupe shite?

I'm putting my 1998 Fiat Coupe 2.0 20v up for sale, its the straight five non turbo engine unique to the Coupe, Bravo and Marea (and one non UK Lancia).

Basic details are:

114k with full service history, lots of past bills and receipts.

All three required keys present

MOT to Oct 26th 2011

Tax to April 30th 2012

Had a fair bit of work in my ownership including new belts, radiator, wheel bearing, undertray brackets and tank straps, handbrake cables, brake compensator valve, front discs and pads, VIS Exhaust manifold and most recently a clutch slave cylinder. Work carried out by Solo Italia, Begbrooke (Oxon).

Has a Longlife exhaust system (like for like replacement so not loud).

Body is in fair condition, the body has had various paint in the past and to be a show car would need a respray but it looks OK.

Overall its been suprisingly reliable, not as bad as people make out. The few issues I'm aware of at the moment are:

Central locking currently disconnected, suspect the drivers door motor is failing and needs replacing to get the system working again.

Air-Con doesnt blow cold, never tried having it regassed as I don't tend to use aircon anyway.

I've put it up for offers around £750 - its too good to break up and still has life left in it and is still quite a head turning car.

We run 3 of these (16v, 20v, & 20vt) -all yellow (wifes favourite colour) & rate them very highly. They are excellent mileage munchers, cheap to run, depreciation free & almost viceless (the engine on the 16v i not so good -but pretty frugal).

SWMBO travels 260 miles a day to & from work in hers without any issues.

Nice car- good luck with the sale

I've got a 20vt and whilst it's not had the use it should've had over the summer, it's a great car. Someone go for it!

That does appear to be a lot of car for not much wonga. At any other time, etc etc. That shouldn't hang about for long.

They really are nice looking motors, surely these will be worth plenny of money in 20 years time. They also haven't been adopted by the dole-ite chav brigade.

My mate wrapped his brand new one round a tree on Lever's Causeway in 1998, it was the same colour as well!

I so want one of these it hurts. I had a Brava for a while and I grew quite attached to it, but at the same time I developed general Fiat horn. If I had to go modern-ish, this would be the one.

Maybe next year if I get a proper job :D. Good luck with the sale - I hope someone here takes it.
