Help! LT35 trouble.

My LT35 recovery has a small problem - there is excess play in the nearside steering idler (the arm on the chassis leg) and the MoT has expired :(

I can't find an idler anywhere - none of my local scrapyards have any, VW don't supply any more and there isn't an aftermarket alternative so I'm stuck.

So, if anyone sees this shape LT35 in a scrapyard, please let me know! There will be a reward for finding, removing and posting ;)

I've looked at that photo a few times. At first I thought it was snowing; but then considered whether, in fact, The North has terrible dandruff. Then I realised that another red-blooded shiter must be just out of shot. The sight of the Mk3 mounting the old beaver tail has caused him to spaff all over the camera lens. In public as well, the poor bastard. If the police get involved I'll tell the judge I saw nothing.

I'm afraid I can't help you with your problem; other than to express surprise. There are still loads of those about. They must be a good truck. I hope it all gets fixed.

LOL! I have to say, it's probably snow, or maybe sleet (or hailstones).

They are indeed a good truck, I've been using this one since about 2003 and have owned it since 2006. Problem I'm having with spares is basically that a dead LT is £350 on the weighbridge so all the local ones have gone to china already.

Hey, might be worth dropping MiniDan from Retro-Rides a pm as he has one of these and may know of a spares source. Whilst you're on to him ask him about what happened to his LT before he got it, you'll ROFL your spuds off!
