As you all probably know, my job went down the toilet as of yesterday. I've decided to get shut of a few things so that I can keep the unit and pay the bills.

I've decided to put my 480 ES up for sale. It's by no means a minter but isn't a rancid piece of rubbish either. It's got quite a few things going in its favour. It was built shortly before the catalyst models came in, so it has a few BHP more than the standard 1.7 models.

It's the 1721cc naturally aspirated engine. So not a Turbo. The engine is the same as the one-sevens fitted in the 5 Baccara and various other Renaults because La Regie and Volvo were in cahoots and the time.

Here are the good bits:

95% of the electrics work. 480s have notoriously crap electrics, and other than the electric sunroof and one daylight running light not working when you flip the pop ups, everything else works.

CEM works perfectly and will display all functions.

Interior is in great nick. I replaced the one cracked door card with one from a dead Turbo.

Sony MP3 \ CD stereo fitted. It's not top of the range or anything, but it's decent enough and also has an aux input so you can feed it music from your source with a 3.5mm jack.

Pop ups work fine although one motor will need greasing soon.

Long distance and fogs work fine.

Rear clusters are cracked but work fully.

127k miles (will verify). Had a cambelt change by the previous owner around 88k.

Recent disc and pad change all round.

15" Turbo alloys in the same Lavendal metallic as the rest of the car, which really suit it in my opinion. I will include the standard 5 spoke 14"s with the car as well. 195 \ 50 Toyo Proxies T1R at the front, Yokohama Paradas at the back (which are a bit shashed).

Big spares package available. Decent alternator, spare heater matrix - anything you want off the white S before I bin it, in fact.

The not so good stuff:

No tax or MOT.

OSR arch beginning to go but is nowhere near terminal.

Driver's door has some quite noticeable grot at the bottom edge.

The tailgate lets in a bit of water in very heavy rain.

There are scuffs and scratches on the paintwork.

The electric aerial is missing but I have a spare that Pete - M took off the white S for me.

The rear number plate lights don't work. The rear bumper doesn't sit right because of that dickhead who rammed me at the traffic lights in Sale. I can get you another grey bumper cheaply.

Exhaust downpipe has a missing clamp which means it farts under acceleration and will probably piss the MOT inspector off.

Undertray is loose and currently attached with cable ties. I have the correct fixings that I bought from Rybrook Volvo.

Anyway, you'd have to trailer \ A frame it away but it runs fine - you can drive it round the unit access roads if you like.

I can do a deal on the Momo Daytona I was going to fit to it as well if you want the car. A separate advert for that can be found here:
