First off CHEAP. Yeah I know moon on a stick etc.

 

Anyhoo, any pointers for those black plastic wheel arch spats - like the group 2/3/4/5/6 mini ones, and those you get on late 60's Japanese stuff. Must cover a 15/16" arch mind? Alternative solutions are entirely possible too!

 

 

Or do any shitters own a vac moulding machine, my daughter says there isn't one at school anymore!

Those madmods ones off retro rides are piss poor quality, and a copy of another blokes (who also sells them on there, but I forget his username) which are £65 a set.

 

I bought the £45 ones (without knowing about the £65 ones) and spent about 4 or 5 hours getting them anywhere near ready for paint - There were big pockets of air between the gelcoat and the fibreglass all over the place where the mat hadn't been pressed in properly. Apparently the £65 ones are decent quality.
