Scrapheap Challenge Thread.

Just thinking, we've got a load of nutters on here who love hunting around scrapyards for stuff, and another load of nutters who love surfing ebay etc for obscure and random bits for their own weird and wonderful devices.

 

So has anyone got any of these knocking about in the shed or wherever?

 

A complete, proper Jaguar, towbar setup (complete with wiring etc) for an X300.

 

A proper Ford chrome backed spotlight for a Mk2 Escort (just the lens will do), and a pair of flat halogen headlamps (RHD) for the same and if possible, a rear foglamp. If anyone needs LHD flat halogens (and has RHD ones), I've got 'em. Not mint, but not bad. Also want proper Ford mudflaps, Cortina ones are the same.

 

A set of front door cards in beigey brown for an '84 Peugeot 604 STi. Also could do with the centre console bit around the gearlever. In fact, a full leather interior wouldn't go amiss.

It's a Kia Pride hubcap, as fitted to the very earliest imported models. It was sourced in the UK from a supplier called Triple A of Hastings, Kent. I guess it was a stock item on to which the original Kia logo was printed. Only a handful of cars had them, basically the pre-launch H-plate demonstratrors, and most have gone - but it's the sort of thing a dedicated shiter would pounce upon.

 

The same design of trim may have been used on other cars - a plain one would be a workable solution. It's only 11in across.
