Had a bit of a shite bonanza today- all the above were taken within about half a mile of each other, whilst I was on a trip to the local timber merchant!

Think this guy has a fetish for old commercial Merc shite- there were at least 2 others swampled by junk and vegetation in his yard.

and these were parked outside-

Whilst this was just up the street

They can all be seen in this pic, of old commercial Ford shite a little further up the street:

German shite- and probably my best spot of the year so far. Lovely Opel Senator- seemed to be in very tidy nick.

in the background of the Land Rover pic above, can be seen a VW Camper. The area seems to have the highest concentration of them I've ever seen outside of a surf festival! All of these are within a couple of streets of each other:-

The steering wheel locks on the Fester and the C15 are a nice touch.I'd say there would be more chance of pikeys hiab-ing 'em than some joyriders taking either one for a spin.Like the Unimog :) GR8 4 SHREDDING TREES.

Love this^^

I didnt know that Senators were still called 'Opels' as late a B-reg - wonder when they switched to calling them Vauxhalls?

How on earth has he managed to keep that MAN transporter parked on the road like that? You'd think the local authorities would have dealt with that years ago.

I guess that a massif truck with another one humping it is harder to shift than your average polish-tax-dodger-mobile. I mean how on earth would they scrape it all up without causing some kind of humanitarian disaster.

It's taxed til October and it's insured according to the MID site...I doubt it's been near an MOT station recently though, judging by the grass growing underneath.

Probably on the old "MoT exempt" recovery truck fiddle.

The MAN appears to be taxed! It looks like it hasn't left that spot for years, is it MOT exempt? It's probably been deemed to be harbouring a rare and protected ecosystem and has been declared a SSSI so no-one's allowed to move it! :DGreat stuff 55chap, this has to be some of the shonkiest road-side detritus on record!

Brilliant! I bet the council are fuming at that old turd heap parked there and theres fugg all they can do. 48/10 EXCELLENT WORK

Getting grass to grow around your vehicle parked on the highway is really something to aspire to! EL seems to have disappeared again, but I reckon he'd like that.

Posted

Leaving your vehicle long enough for grass to grow without somebody smashing the windows is an achievement in itself!

Sorry Jazzy, never replied to your question- it's Meersbrook.

So, it's not soggy anymore, and it seems to have brought a few gems out to play!:

First, a rather tasty Triumph spotted at Rother Valley

As was this Capri

Posted Image

This rather less well cared for Triumph has been sat in this front yard for a LONG time

Posted Image

Another lovely Triumph in the supermarket car park

Same car park, same day. Not your usual grocery-getter!!

Very nice Mk 1 Fiesta parked up

I can never decide whether those Jensens are really attractive or very ugly... cool spots!

Know what you mean... I guess they're beautifully ugly!
