Well, that was that. The 2CV needed more money thrown at it then it was worth, I hardly ever got to drive it and the free parking space it occupied wasn't going to be free for much longer... so I sold it this morning and lost quite a bit of money on it (on all my shite over the years), the dream is over so no shite for me until I have a garage of my own (probably somewhere between next christmas and neverever). Maybe I'll buy an old moped one day to learn about mechanics a bit.

 

I might go into inactive mode for a bit, but I'll keep following this forum!

what you need is a reliable daily shite car - problem is you have been running 'classics'...

 

get a Mk 3 Opel Cavalier or a Mk1 Mondeo - a Rover Metro or....you could import a Maestro!!!!

 

then you get reliable daily with all the bonuses of being utter chod as well.....

 

then, when you have more time/cash/knuckle skin...you can go and buy an Ami 8 or somthing?
