I thought it'd be something like that, but I still trust the BBC news website even though it's just as guilty of 'churnalism'.

Have to admit that I couldn't give a toss what they are suggesting.

 

Years ago I used to "go up the town" to Edinburgh with great regularity and park the car wherever, within the last 10 years they've introduced all sorts of measures to make life for car drivers more difficult.

 

That's all fine and dandy to me as I simply don't bother going into Edinburgh (City Centre) anymore, unless.. absolutely necessary (which is almost never) - after all you can get all the shopping you need out of town and most folks live out of town as well these days.

 

By the time 2050 comes, shopping will all be automatically ordered on the internet and delivered by the Indian or Chinese owned multinational grocery stores via some sort of environmentally friendly "hover van" using solar power no doubt :mrgreen:

 

Mind you, I'll probably be going down the Post Office picking up my pension in my classic Proton with the fusion power drive system from 2030... :roll:
