i am trying to save this before it goes for scrap,approx 1940's thornycroft amazon 6 wheel crane with rotating jib,gardener engine it runs and drives so will drive onto a low loader,it is all complete no major damage worth saving so if anyone can find a good home that would be great....£3000.........07702031268

This lot will always be interested.... if you are really interested in saving it so it doesn't go to scrap it'd probably be best to drop the price by about a k.

Any preserved railways in the vicinity? Seen similar around engine sheds. Ideal for lifting the odd V12 out of something tasty?

yeah, if it weighs about 12 tonnes it probably is £3k in scrap :shock:

Wont it be classed as "oversize" though? It will get a lower price scrap wise if it is as they will have to chop it up to get it in the baler/shears.

Depending on type the engine could be worth a grand or so if it's a goodun
